Xmas Contest

Make sure you have your amazing entry for the Christmas contest on your blog by 10:30 Monday, Dec. 14. Possible topics include: a rewrite of a Christmas carol, a letter to Santa (or other important person), a Christmas object with a voice! Any other entries of holiday / winter theme will also be considered. Entries will be judged on the basis of ideas, organization, and voice, with emphasis on voice and overall quality. Winners will be announced before Christmas break.

Scaredy Student Contest!

Write your own 'Scaredy Student' story (based on the Scaredy Squirrel book we read in class), submit it in good copy form on your blog with the post title, "CONTEST ENTRY", and you could be a winner! Contest entries are due October 22 at 3:15pm.

If You Were in Charge of the World...

If you were in charge of the world, who would you be? What would you do? What would you save? What would you destroy? How would you fix the problems that you see around you? Think about these questions, and then draft your answer to the following prompt....

"If I were in charge of the world, I would..."

Post your answer on your own blogspot, and wait for your teacher to respond. Don't forget to use all of the skills we have been working on in class. We will be choosing a winner each week, so don't wait! Write your answer today, and it might be your work that prompts next week's contest!
